About this event

What to expect

Guide Bob Conroy will talk about vegetation communities, flora & fauna, and Aboriginal heritage on this moderately challenging bushwalk. The group will stop for a BYO picnic lunch before returning.

This Grade 4 walk is a 10km loop. Good levels of fitness and bushwalking experience is recommended. The track has some very steep sections and many steps.

What to bring

BYO picnic lunch and at least 2 litres of water. Dress for the weather conditions in outdoor walking clothes, closed toe shoes, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and weatherproof jacket.

Special instructions

Parking is available at Sphinx Memorial, within Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park which has a park entry fee of $12 per vehicle.

This is a guided group walk, all registered walkers must stay with the group for the full duration of the walk.

The event will go ahead in light rain conditions. In the event of extreme weather the walk will be cancelled and registered walkers will be notified.
