Riverfest: Strathfield Council Mangrove Forest Clean Up Day

Join us on Friday, 26 September, from 11am to 1pm for a clean-up day in the Mangrove Forest at Powells Creek.

The event is organised by Stormwater Shepherds, an international not-for-profit dedicated to restoring the health of our waterways, and is supported by Strathfield Council and Parramatta River Catchment Group.

Date: Friday, 26 September 2025

Time: 11am – 1pm

Where: Powells Creek Reserve.

Meeting point: We’ll meet at the Bressington Park carpark and then head down to the Mangrove Forest. Participants will be given a flyer to place on their vehicle dashboards to avoid parking fines.

Please remember:

• A hat, sunscreen, water bottle, comfortable and breathable clothing that covers the entire body, closed-toe shoes (gum boots recommended) and a pair of gloves. We will provide everything else for you.
• Please use public transport, carpool or walk/cycle to the event where possible.
• Treat all staff and the community with respect.
