About this event

Enjoy the sights and serenity of the Badu Mangroves by wandering along the boardwalk on this guided experience.

Listen to the ‘Muru Nanga Mai Dreaming Track’ Poem and observe the beauty of the wetlands. This walk takes you through the largest remaining wetland along the Parramatta River.

This February the theme for World Wetlands Day 2024 is ‘Wetlands and human wellbeing’, come along for an evening stroll and explore this unqiue enviornment. Learn about threatened plant and animal species of the Parklands, spot some creatures and see what activity goes on in the Park.

Please note:

  • All tours are subject to a minimum number of participants. If the minimum requirement is not achieved the tour may be cancelled. Notice to cancellations will be given in advance.
  • Ensure you wear comfortable (enclosed footwear) and warm clothing to suit the weather conditions.
  • Our programs have a maximum of 20 participants per session.
  • Please ensure you arrive 15 minutes before starting so that you can locate the Park Rangers
  • Tours may be cancelled in cases of bad weather. Notice to weather cancellation will be given in advance.
  • This is a program suitable for families, with all participants requiring registration. Children aged 12+ are welcome but are to be supervised by a parent/guardian.
